Asia Lutheran Seminary
-
Asia Lutheran Seminary trains Christian leaders for Asia by equipping students to reach out, disciple believers, train leaders, and multiply groups.
I'm honored for this opportunity to work with ALS and design their new visual identity to align with their mission and values, as well as communicate their goals in their ministry traning.

New Look,
Same Truth.
We put a video together along with narration and motion graphics to introduce this new identity.
A Modern Update For A Warm Welcome.
Southpaw was happy to assist Asia Lutheran Seminary with their revolutionary rebrand that not only revamps the logo but dial in the supporting identity elements; crafting an approachable and welcoming brand experience that’s able to communicate their purpose in an exciting and clear fashion.
Redesigned with a
Layered Meaning
The elements that come together to form the overall logomark are specifically chosen to resemble the beautiful truth that Jesus not only died for our sins but defeated death by rising on Easter morning, and sharing that to all nations through the ministry provided by ALS.
The wordmark is bold and rounded to merge with the logo. The font intentionally uses lowercase vowels to embrace more curves/marks and mirror Chinese and other foreign languages.
Bringing It All Together
With a revised logo in place, it set the stage for the rest of the identity assets to be dialed in. The new color palette is completely revamped to stand out. It is inspired by the Hong Kong sunset where ALS is based, starting with a deep navy of the sky and uses the compliment Koi orange as an accent.
