Evangelical Heritage Version
SERVICE:
Logo Design
The Wartburg Project created a new translation of the Holy Bible called the Evangelical Heritage Version, and they reached out to Southpaw to help with the logo design.
”Translated faithfully from the original Greek and Hebrew, the EHV proclaims the gospel of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. The expressions, imagery, and style of the original texts are there, giving readers a lasting picture of God’s grace and mercy for a lost human race.” - Wartburg Project
INSPIRATION
Tradition. Foundation. Reformation.
This mission here was to build a logo that could be easily identified, while being unified, simple, and be based on the heritage of the Christian/Lutheran faith.
Looking back into the roots, the release of the Bible would be on the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, where Martin Luther nailed the 95 Thesis.
EXECUTION
A Meaningful Mark.
There are times when it is necessary to pack meaning into a logo. This may over-extend the practicality of the logo, unless it is done with subtlety.
The EHV only needed a simple mark, however one that could be practical to print, while still be meaningful. Here you can see all of the meaning that went into the unifying shape of the mark - leaving the no creative decision without reason.
APPLICATION
Simple. Practical. Meaningful.
Like all of our clients, we are focused on serving them and building a professional relationship with them. With that relationship means support, loyalty, and truly believing in their business, services, and products; that’s why we encourage you to check them out!
